The FindMyDentist name, the findmydentist.uk domain, the design of the site, its interface, its text and its underlying code are owned by FindMyDentist Ltd or used under licence, and are protected by copyright, database and trade mark law in the United Kingdom.

You may read, print and share pages of FindMyDentist for your own personal use, or for the internal purposes of your practice. Any other reproduction, adaptation, distribution or commercial exploitation, in whole or in part, requires our written permission.

Photographs, descriptions and other content uploaded by a practice remain the property of that practice or its licensors. By publishing content on FindMyDentist, the practice grants us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, resize and technically adapt that content for as long as the listing is live. The practice can end that licence at any time by removing the content or closing its account.

FindMyDentist publishes information that practices supply, or that we gather from public sources such as regulator registers and practice websites. We take reasonable care to check listing details before publication and to correct errors that are reported to us, but information can change between two updates.

A listing is not clinical advice, not a recommendation of a particular clinician or treatment, and not a guarantee that a practice is accepting new patients, that an appointment is available, or that a published fee will be honoured. The practice you consult is responsible for the care it provides.

We aim to keep FindMyDentist available and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, FindMyDentist Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from use of, or inability to use, the directory. Nothing in this notice limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Links from FindMyDentist to third-party sites — a practice’s own website, an online booking system, a regulator — are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.

Most listings on FindMyDentist are created and maintained by the practice they describe. The practice is responsible for the accuracy of that content, and undertakes to keep contact details, opening hours, treatments, NHS availability and fees up to date.

FindMyDentist is not a regulator and does not inspect, licence or certify any practice. We do not verify clinical qualifications, and a listing does not mean that we endorse a practice, its clinicians or its treatments. Registration and inspection information should always be checked with the Care Quality Commission, which regulates dental practices in England.

Where we list a practice from public sources before it has claimed its profile, the details are labelled as unclaimed and may be incomplete. A practice can claim its listing, correct it from its dashboard, or ask us to remove it by writing to hello@findmydentist.uk. We action removal requests within thirty days.

How personal data connected with listings and enquiries is processed is set out in the privacy policy.

If you are unhappy with FindMyDentist, email hello@findmydentist.uk with the subject line “Complaint” and tell us what has happened, which listing or page it concerns, and what outcome you are looking for. We acknowledge complaints within five working days.

We investigate and give you a substantive reply within twenty working days. If the matter needs longer — for example because we are waiting on a practice — we tell you why and when to expect a full answer.

If you remain dissatisfied after our final reply, you can ask for the complaint to be reviewed by the managing director, who will respond within a further twenty working days.

Complaints about dental treatment itself are not for us. Contact the practice first, then the Care Quality Commission, which regulates dental practices in England. Complaints about how we have handled your personal data can be raised with our data protection officer at dpo@findmydentist.uk, and, if unresolved, with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
